The Acrylic nails are covered with a cotton ball soaked in pure acetone, then the fingers are wrapped in tin foil or nail clips, letting them sit for 30 minutes. The acetone will help break down the acrylics, enabling me to buff or scrape off the rest with an orange stick or cuticle pusher.

After reshaping and filling in the regrowth with acrylic or gel material, I will apply a gel polish to add color and shine to the nails. The gel polish is cured under a UV or LED lamp to create a long-lasting and durable finish.

Over time, as the natural nails underneath the artificial enhancements grow, a gap or space develops near the cuticle area.
